GoUpscale is becoming Upscale: A simpler name for a broader business

The new identity reflects Upscale’s broader focus across AI, advisor productivity, engagement and digital transformation.

GoUpscale is becoming Upscale. The change takes us back to a simpler name from the company’s early days, while reflecting how much the business around it has evolved. What might look like a small change is part of a broader evolution in our brand, our technology and the way we work with financial institutions. When we founded the business in Singapore in 2021, much of our work centred on a clear problem in wealth and asset management: firms were producing large volumes of valuable content, but the systems used to turn that content into meaningful advisor and client engagement had not kept pace. That challenge remains important, but the business addressing it has grown considerably.

Today, Upscale works across engagement, distribution, AI enablement, advisor productivity and digital transformation. Our platform helps organisations create, manage, distribute and measure engagement, while our wider work increasingly includes strategic advisory, workflow design and tailored technology solutions built around the operational requirements of individual financial institutions. As the business has evolved, the brand needed to evolve with it.

From a product to a wider engagement proposition

Financial institutions are entering a different phase of technology adoption. For many firms, the question is no longer whether AI, automation and better digital engagement matter. The harder question is how to apply those capabilities inside an existing organisation in a way that is practical, secure and useful.

Research continues to move through established approval processes, while advisors need relevant information at the right moment, marketing teams need control over how that information is distributed, and management teams need visibility into what is working. Any new technology therefore has to fit within existing systems, governance requirements and client expectations rather than sit outside them.

That is the environment Upscale has been built for. Our platform remains at the centre of the business, combining AI-powered content generation, intelligent sales enablement, distribution and engagement analytics. But it increasingly sits within a wider relationship with clients. We can help a firm identify where technology can improve an engagement workflow, provide the underlying infrastructure and tailor that capability around the organisation’s particular requirements. Software, advisory and tailored solutions are therefore not separate businesses. They are different ways of solving the same underlying challenge: helping financial institutions modernise how expertise moves through the organisation and reaches the people it is intended to serve.

Why simply “Upscale”?

In some ways, Upscale is a new name. In others, it is a return to where we started. The name was part of the company’s early identity, and bringing it back gives us something simpler, clearer and more representative of the business we have become. Internally, the rebrand was framed around exactly that idea: a clearer name, a stronger visual identity and a return to Upscale.

That simplicity matters as the company itself becomes broader. We do not want the brand to be defined by a single product, feature or workflow. Upscale now works across a wider engagement environment, connecting content, people, data and technology to help financial institutions improve how expertise moves through their organisations and reaches advisors and clients. The rebrand therefore brings two things together: a return to a simpler name and a clearer expression of where the business is heading.

What is not changing

The company behind the name remains the same. Upscale was founded by Dominic Gamble, Co-founder and CEO, and Ben Backx, Co-founder and CTO, and continues to be built specifically around the needs of wealth and asset management. We now support more than 50 financial institutions and ecosystem partners across Southeast Asia, Europe and North America. Our focus remains firmly on financial services, underpinned by a belief that innovation should be practical and create meaningful value.

For us, the opportunity in AI lies in what it can enable: greater productivity, more effective distribution, stronger engagement and more scalable workflows rather than in adopting technology for its own sake. That philosophy will continue to shape our platform, our advisory work and the solutions we build with clients. The move from GoUpscale to Upscale is therefore not a change in direction, but a clearer expression of the business we have already become and where we are heading next.
